Case Study: NPR

Davenport was retained by NPR in 2006 to advise on the financing of its headquarters facility completed in 2010. Davenport worked with NPR for almost four years on the project and was instrumental in analyzing and advising on numerous financial options, in structuring the financing, obtaining NPR’s inaugural credit ratings, making presentations to NPR committees and the Board, and in negotiating the terms of the financing with the underwriters. Davenport has assisted NPR since then with the execution of multiple refinancings of its debt for savings as well as annual rating agency interaction. Davenport has advised NPR on over $500 million of bonds. We also have provided guidance related to SWAP transactions and other hedging opportunities.
