Rob grew up in Hanover County and earned a B.S. in Business Marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1987. After graduation, he spent a year in Virginia Beach establishing new territory for his employer. Following nine years with that company, Rob transitioned to The Horace Mann Insurance Companies, where he spent 14 years building strong client relationships and lifelong friendships through his dedication to their financial futures.
In 2010, Rob launched his own financial services business. Two years later, he met Sam Kouri, and by 2013, their shared respect led to the founding of K&G Financial Services. Together, they worked with individuals, families, and business owners to develop long-term financial strategies.
Rob joined Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) in 2014 and became active on the Retention and Involvement Committee in 2016, later serving as its chair.
In March 2026, Rob joined Davenport & Company. He resides in Hanover County with his wife, Kathy, and enjoys time with his daughter Kaitlyn, and his stepson, Ryan.
Robert Grizzard is Series 6, 63 and 65 registered with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) to offer services to clients who reside in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. He is licensed to offer insurance to residents in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
