Ralph Rush began his financial career as an advisor with the investment firm, Anderson & Strudwick. In 1986, he was recruited by the Charlottesville office of Merrill Lynch. As his financial career continued to grow, he decided in 1990 to move his successful practice to Davenport & Company LLC and is now a First Vice President of Investments.

Today, Ralph specializes in serving individuals and families as an Investment Executive offering a wide range of planning services and investment solutions. He seeks to help his clients achieve their life goals with custom investment advice and exceptional personal service. By taking the time to understand his clients’ goals, he can offer planning and investment advice that is highly personalized and tailored to address their financial goals and objectives, risk tolerance, and time horizon.

Ralph helps clients select the most appropriate investments which may include stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and professional asset management services. He then helps determine the appropriate asset allocation and diversification for their portfolios. Ongoing changes in the market as well as his clients’ own financial situations make monitoring and re-balancing investment portfolios a hallmark of Ralph’s service. Through years of advising his clients, Ralph has always believed in placing his clients’ interests first and many of his clients have responded by referring others to him.

Ralph earned a degree in English Literature with a minor in Music from Rutgers University. He went on to obtain a MMED degree from the State College of New Jersey.
