Herbert has more than 40 years of financial analysis and budgeting experience. Before joining Davenport in 1998, Herbert served as a Vice President of United Virginia/Crestar Bank where he gained experience in investments, financial analysis and budgeting, and general accounting. He is Series 7, 63, 65 and 24 registered and licensed to sell annuities and long-term care insurance.
Herbert and his wife, Nancy, both attended Virginia Tech. They have four adult children, all of whom are big football fans. He enjoys spending quality time with them cheering on Virginia Tech, JMU and Alabama. Outside of work, his biggest passion is family and gardening, especially growing day lilies and azaleas.
