After a very successful engineering career, Edgar joined Legg Mason Wood Walker as a Financial Advisor in 2000. In 2006, Legg Mason was acquired by Smith Barney, and in 2009 he moved his successful financial services practice to Davenport & Company. Edgar’s focus is always about serving his clients as he would want to be served.
Edgar has a BS degree from Virginia Tech and an MBA from Averett University. He and his wife Lisa live on their family farm near Danville, Virginia and have two grown children. In his spare time, he enjoys raising livestock, restoring a 44 year old car, and SCUBA diving. Edgar has always believed in giving back to his community and has served on numerous boards and commissions in the region. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Business at Averett University.
Recognized for his great customer service, Edgar has been voted “Favorite Financial Advisor” six times by readers of Showcase magazine – The Rave Awards.
