Bob, a seasoned investment professional, has more than 30 years of industry experience. He graduated from Washington & Lee University. After graduation, he honorably served as an officer in the U.S. Army. When his tour ended, he worked for a regional investment firm for four years. In 1990, Bob joined Davenport & Company and has been with the firm since.

Despite the changes and volatility in the market through the years, Bob has remained consistently focused on building relationships with his clients. He takes great pride in educating clients about their investments. He can assist in establishing 529 Savings Plans, ROTH IRAs and IRA Rollovers, as well as helping clients understand SIMPLE, SEP and qualified plans.

Active in his community, Bob is involved with his church, various tennis organizations, the YMCA and local soccer organizations. During his tenure as a soccer coach, he was recognized by the Virginia Youth Soccer Organization as a recreational coach of the year for the Commonwealth of Virginia. He has served as President of the Board of Camp Holiday Trails, a summer camp for children with special needs. He and his wife Lisa reside in Charlottesville with their two children, Abigail and Henry.
