With more than 25 years of experience in investment advisory and wealth management services, Barry specializes in helping clients with their individual financial and investment needs. He joined Davenport in 2002 as a Financial Advisor and now serves as a Senior Vice President, Investments. Before joining the firm, he worked as a Financial Advisor for J.C. Bradford & Co. and later, Paine Webber/UBS.  Prior to entering the financial services industry, he was a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. 

Barry served for four years in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Presidential Honor Guard & Drill Team in Washington, D.C., where he served as a Ceremonial Guardsman and a Casket Bearer in Arlington National Cemetery. He is Series 7, 63 and 65 registered. In 2015 and 2017, he was recognized as a “Favorite Financial Advisor” in Showcase magazine in the Danville area.

Barry studied Business Administration at Emmanuel College. He attended Northern VA Community College where his field of study was accounting and also graduated from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service. In his free time, Barry enjoys riding his Harley, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his wife, Tamra, and children, Erin and Brantley. He is committed to supporting local charities and is a board member of God’s Pit Crew and member of Mount Hermon Baptist Church.


Barry Riddle is registered with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) to offer services to clients who reside in Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, North Carolina, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia and Wyoming. Barry is licensed to offer insurance and annuity products to residents in North Carolina and Virginia.
