Our Process

Defining and Managing Risk
We recognize the importance of establishing portfolios using disciplined risk management principles. Each client portfolio is evaluated for its blend of asset classes, diversification, sector allocation, and investment style. These factors play an important role in optimizing the risk/reward parameters for each client. A portfolio strategy will be executed once overall evaluations are made and broad strategies are identified and discussed. Once your portfolio is in place, we will monitor its ongoing performance. This enables us to rebalance assets and remain focused on achieving your stated objectives. In short, we attempt to provide you with an investment strategy that is most suitable to your particular needs without exposing you to undue risk.

Wealth Transfer and Charitable Giving
Many of our clients like to leave a legacy to their children and grandchildren or a particular institution or charity. We can help you support the organizations and institutions that you value most while receiving monthly income for life.

Tri-River Investment Group can assist with estate planning and philanthropic giving and will work closely with you, your family members, and your other professional advisors as needed in order to make tax-intelligent decisions. In addition, we work closely with experienced estate attorneys and CPAs who are dedicated to providing meaningful support in the critical area of wealth preservation.*

Working in a partnership with estate attorneys, and in some cases trust companies, we can help you address unique family issues. These include, but are not limited to, providing the resources to care for an elderly parent or child, succession or liquidation plans for business owners, or establishing a trust that directs your assets if you become incapacitated.

Keeping You Informed
We are committed to providing clear and frequent communication—in person and by telephone, mail, or email. In addition, we offer:

  • In-person portfolio review meetings as you request or require
  • Online access to your account balances, positions, and activity
  • Monthly summary of positions and transactions
  • An annual tax-reporting summary
