Robert (Bob) Mizell, CFA
Executive Vice President–Investments

Bob joined Davenport in 1988 and was initially responsible for the firm’s corporate finance efforts in connection with capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and other financial advisory services. He served as Chief Financial Officer from 2007 to 2017. Prior to joining Davenport, he was a licensed CPA and partner with KPMG.

Bob holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is registered as a General Securities Principal, Financial and Operations Principal, Direct Participations Programs Principal, and Registered Investment Advisor Representative. He is a current member of Davenport’s Board of Directors and the Executive, Risk, and Commitment committees. He is also a director of Davenport Trust Company and serves on the Management Committee of three private investment companies managed by Davenport & Company. Bob is Series 7, 24, 27, 39, 63 and 65 registered with FINRA.

An honors graduate of the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, Bob received his B.S. degree in Commerce (concentration in accounting).

Daniel Mizell, CFP®
Senior Vice President - Investments

Daniel joined Davenport in October 2014. Prior to joining the firm, he was an Assistant Vice President with C&F Bank, where his responsibilities included asset/liability management, acquisitions and special projects.

Daniel earned a B.S. degree in Financial Management (with a minor in Accounting) from Clemson University in 2008. He is also a 2012 graduate of the Virginia Bankers Association School of Bank Management. He earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation in 2017 and he is licensed to sell insurance and annuity products.
