Pete Reuss, AAMS®
Pete joined Davenport in October 2021 after 26 years with Truist Investment Services, formerly BB&T Scott & Stringfellow. With his training in mathematics and education, Pete takes equal pleasure in finding investment solutions and in sharing them with clients in a way that gives them the confidence they need to help achieve their financial goals.
A graduate of Virginia Tech, Pete earned his B.S. in Finance and Math and his M.A. in Education. He is Series 7, 31, 63 and 65 registered with FINRA and holds state variable life, health and annuity licenses. Pete earned the Accredited Asset Management SpecialistSM professional designation, awarded by the College for Financial Planning.
Active in the community, Pete has served as board chair for The Noblemen as well as the Hilltop YMCA for the past 20 years. He created The Noblemen Toy Drive, Reason for the Season, and Golf Tournament for the organization. He also co-founded NobleTeens, an organization that creates a platform for kids to help kids. In his free time, Pete enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and the drums, and volunteering in his community.
Bringier McConnell, AAMS®
Bringier joined Davenport in October 2021 after more than 12 years at Truist Investment Services, formerly BB&T Scott & Stringfellow. Prior to his role at BB&T, he was a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch for three years and worked at French Country Living for 17 years, a company he co-founded.
As a Managing Director and Financial Advisor, Bringier enjoys sharing his broad understanding of global financial markets with clients especially in taking the mystery out of the investment process. Drawing on his breadth of experience, he specializes in creating holistic financial strategies designed to achieve protected growth.
A graduate of Yale University, Bringier also earned a law degree and an MBA from the University of Virginia. He is Series 7, 63 and 66 registered with FINRA. Bringier earned the Accredited Asset Management SpecialistSM professional designation, awarded by the College for Financial Planning to financial professionals who successfully complete a self-study program, pass an exam, and agree to comply with a code of ethics.
Active in the community, Bringier has served as President of the Williamsburg Rotary Club, is a current member and past Chairman of the Board for Hospice House and Support Care of Williamsburg, and is a past Vestryman for Bruton Parish Church. In his free time, he and his wife, Sally, and their two daughters, Cole and Adele, enjoy being active outdoors kayaking, sailing, bird watching and cycling.
First Vice President-Investments
Kimball joined Davenport in October 2021 after more than 12 years at Truist Investment Services, formerly BB&T Scott & Stringfellow. Prior to joining BB&T, he was a reporter at Tribune Publishing Company for eight years in Hampton Roads, VA. Kimball specializes in analyzing and tracking stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and investment managers to provide information and appropriate investment choices for the team’s clients. He looks for ways to help maximize risk adjusted investment returns based on each client’s specific needs and goals.
Kimball graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and Affairs. He is Series 7 and 66 registered with FINRA and holds state variable life, health and annuity licenses. Active in the community, he has been a member of The Noblemen for 16 years and has served on the Business Advisory Council of VersAbility Resources for the past four years. In his free time, he and his wife Ragan enjoy chasing after their kids, Maddox and Owyn, and spending time with family and friends near the water.
Ed joined Davenport in October 2021 after more than eight years of experience as a financial advisor. Ed helps clients of The Tidewater Group with financial planning, legacy protection, retirement income, and tax minimization strategies. He also assists the group with determining the most appropriate investment strategies for clients.
Ed earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and is Series 7 and 66 registered with FINRA. Born and raised in Virginia Beach, Ed now resides in Williamsburg with his wife, Martina, and their four children. In his free time, he is actively involved in the alumni programs of the University of Virginia and donates his time to several charitable organizations.
Vice President, Business Development Officer
Debbie joined Davenport in October 2021 after more than 23 years at Truist Investment Services, formerly BB&T Scott & Stringfellow. Using 30 years of industry experience, Debbie leads The Tidewater Group’s business development initiatives and goals-based financial planning process. She holds her Series 7 registration with FINRA and is committed to helping make clients’ financial lives less complicated.
Debbie likes to stay active in the community. She has volunteered with the Noblemen for many years and has served as a board member with the Princess Anne YMCA since its inception. She has also volunteered as the team captain and organized many BB&T Lighthouse community events with local nonprofits.
She resides in Virginia Beach with her son, Nolan, and their black Lab, Bodie. She loves to travel, especially when beaches or skiing are involved, and she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Rebecca “Becky” Maxwell-Scott
Associate Vice President, Client Service Associate
Becky joined Davenport in October 2021 after more than 15 years at Truist Investment Services, formerly BB&T Scott & Stringfellow. Becky focuses on providing outstanding client service and team administrative support. She gets to know the team’s clients well from the beginning of each relationship, handling account setup processes, transfers and getting clients acclimated.
Becky resides in Virginia Beach with her son, Paul, and two cats, Tigger and Amber Rose. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and her favorite activities include fishing, camping, NASCAR racing, listening to music, and gardening.
Client Service Associate
Arethea joined Davenport in October 2021 with more than 18 years of financial industry experience including retail banking, wealth management and commercial banking support. As an essential member of the Tidewater Group, she offers the team and clients exceptional client service, administrative and operational support.
Actively engaged in the community, she is a long time Lighthouse Project participant and has volunteered with Special Olympics, The Food Bank, The Arc of the Virginia Peninsula, The Habitat for Humanity and many more local organizations. A New Jersey native, Arethea has been a Virginia resident for the past 14 years. She resides in the Williamsburg area with her daughters, Nia and Naomi.
Financial Advisor Trainee
Cameron joined Davenport and The Tidewater Group as a trainee in October 2021. He is in the process of gaining his FINRA registrations to become a Financial Advisor. He looks forward to being an active member of the team and assisting clients with reaching their goals.
Cameron graduated in 2020 from Longwood University with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. Archeology is a passion of Cameron’s and in 2017, he received the Ben C. McCary Award from the Archeological Society of Virginia for his findings during an Archeological dig. Active in the community, Cameron volunteers for The Nobleman. In his free time, he enjoys watching movies, playing volleyball and golf, keeping up with new archeological finds and technology, and spending time going for walks and playing fetch with his favorite companion, his dog Cleopatra.
