Bob, a seasoned investment professional, has more than 30 years of industry experience. He graduated from Washington & Lee University. After graduation, he honorably served as an officer in the U.S. Army. When his tour ended, he worked for a regional investment firm for four years. In 1990, Bob joined Davenport & Company and has been with the firm since.

Despite the changes and volatility in the market through the years, Bob has remained consistently focused on building relationships with his clients. He takes great pride in educating clients about their investments. He can assist in establishing 529 Savings Plans, ROTH IRAs and IRA Rollovers, as well as helping clients understand SIMPLE, SEP and qualified plans.

Active in his community, Bob is involved with his church, various tennis organizations, the YMCA and local soccer organizations. During his tenure as a soccer coach, he was recognized by the Virginia Youth Soccer Organization as a recreational coach of the year for the Commonwealth of Virginia. He has served as President of the Board of Camp Holiday Trails, a summer camp for children with special needs. He and his wife Lisa reside in Charlottesville with their two children, Abigail and Henry.

Owen joined Davenport in 2023 as a Client Service Associate. With determination and a commitment to building relationships with clients, he quickly became registered with FINRA and advanced to the role of Associate Financial Advisor. As an advisor, Owen supports individuals, families and businesses in developing tailored financial strategies that help to meet their long-term goals.

Owen earned a B.S. degree in Political Science and Economics from James Madison University. He is actively engaged in leadership and community service and volunteers with Young Life, a Christian ministry nonprofit, where he mentors and supports youth in the local community. Owen and his “middle school sweetheart” wife Mallory have returned to Charlottesville after both attending JMU. In his free time, Owen enjoys any outdoor adventure presented to him.

Prior to joining Davenport in May 2025, Carter was in customer relations at CarMax, and in sales at Wine & Country Life. She utilizes her background in customer service and relationship management to assist the group in providing proactive, individualized and timely support to clients.

Active in the community, Carter has previously served in roles with Martha’s Market – The Women’s Committee, UVA Children’s Hospital, and St. Anne’s Belfield. Outside of work, she enjoys working out, going on walks with her English Bulldog, Darla Sue, and spending time on the water paddle boarding and kayaking. When she is not on the move, she enjoys relaxing by watching lacrosse, basketball and football. Carter has three adult children. Her son played lacrosse at the University of Richmond and her daughter played at Virginia Tech and UNC Charlotte.
