FINANCIAL PLANNING ASSOCIATE

OVERVIEW

Davenport is seeking a Financial Planning Associate who will bring previous financial planning experience or education to the firm.  This position with growth potential will be responsible for providing support for a broad range of financial planning services from general consultation to comprehensive financial planning. 

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Researching questions from financial advisors and clients relating to the following financial planning topics: education funding, estate and retirement planning, insurance, investment and tax issues
  • Gathering information for entry into financial planning software programs
  • Consulting with other internal departments (Insurance, Retirement Planning, Asset Management) as needed
  • Creating and updating financial planning related materials used by financial advisors in their daily practice: questionnaires, marketing guides/brochures/letters, etc.
  • Creating internal financial planning department website messages that provide financial planning marketing ideas
  • Maintaining content posted on the Financial Services intranet
QUALIFICATIONS
  • College degree or equivalent related experience
  • CFP® designation
  • 1 to 3 years of experience
  • Professional and service-oriented demeanor
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks within a stated deadline
  • Ability to take direction and complete assignments with little supervision
  • Proficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office products
  • Desire to work in a team environment and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing work environmen
