THEODORE W. PRICE, CFA
Senior Vice President—Investments
Theodore W. Price joined Davenport & Company LLC as a Senior Vice President, Investments in February 2007. Ted began his financial career as an equity analyst at Smith Barney in New York City in 1968. In 1972 he left Smith Barney to join the fledging investment advisory firm of Wheat, First Securities. Ted remained at Wheat Investment Advisors and its successor firms serving as Vice Chairman of the Advisory Group until Wheat, First Securities was acquired in 1998.
In 1981 Ted became the Founder, President and lead portfolio manager of what was to become the Southeastern Growth Fund at its public offering in 1985. In 1990 the Fund changed its name to the Mentor Growth Fund. From this point he served as Senior Portfolio Manager and Chief Investment Officer of the $1.5 billion Evergreen Growth Fund (Mentor was renamed after Wachovia Bank acquired it and Wheat, First Securities in 1998) until his departure in 2007. Morningstar noted in 2007 that Ted was the second longest serving manager of a small-cap growth fund.
Ted’s educational background includes a BA in History from the University of Virginia and MBA in Finance from The Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant.
Ted serves on a number of Boards including: Trustee of Sheltering Arms Hospital; Chairman of the Sheltering Arms Hospital Foundation; Trustee of the Church Schools of the Diocese of Virginia and President of the CSDV Foundation; Trustee Emeritus of Saint Catherine’s School; and Past President and Director Emeritus of the Virginia Squash Racquets Association. |

T.WINSTON PRICE, CFP®
Vice President—Investments
Winston Price joined Davenport & Company LCC in 1999 and today focuses his efforts
helping individuals and families plan for their financial future. Winston earned his Certified Financial Planning™ designation in the fall of 2010. He takes time to understand each client’s unique needs and through clear and frequent communications, strives to keep his client’s portfolios on track toward their investment objectives. Winston began his career as a portfolio administrator and later served as Manager of Portfolio Services and Service Delivery Manager for Information Technology. He was instrumental in developing and implementing Davenport’s client performance reporting system. He also was responsible for the sourcing, evaluating and deploying the firm’s wealth management desktop system used by more than 160 Davenport Financial Advisors. In 2007, Winston joined his father, Ted Price, in establishing The Price Group of Davenport & Company LLC.
Winston is a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church and serves on the Finance Committee.
He is an avid musician and plays the drums. Winston also is a licensed pilot and enjoys flying occasionally. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Music from Denison University. Winston and his wife, Sarah, live in Richmond and have three children, Teddy, Kathryn, and August. |

MARION COSBY
Client Service Associate
Marion Cosby began her career with Davenport & Company LLC in the Sales and Training Resources Department in September of 2010. Shortly thereafter, she was presented the opportunity to join Ted and Winston Price as a Client Service Associate. She is responsible for managing the group’s client relations and operations. In addition, her duties include processing new accounts, responding to client requests, and coordinating with the firm’s various support departments. Marion attended the Collegiate School and received an Equestrian scholarship from the University of Georgia. She attended UGA for a year and a half and transferred to James Madison University, where she earned a BA degree in history. |
